Students that apply to Al-Maktoum are diverse in terms of age, life experience and epistemological conventions. All students are expected to have good communication skills.

English Language Requirements
Teaching takes place solely in English and students must demonstrate that their English language proficiency is at a level that will allow them to follow their intended programme successfully.
We require you to have the equivalent of at least GCSE (grade C or new grades 4-9) in English/Standard Grade (grades 1-3)/National 5 (grades A-C).

*For the Introductory Certificate in Arabic Language, an IELTS score of 5.0 will be accepted.
IELTS tests will be considered to be valid for 2 years, and must still be valid on the programme start date. You should ask for a copy of your Test Report Form to be sent to the College.
